Refinishing is a cost-effective method to restore the natural beauty of your hardwood floors without the need for replacement. Unlike replacing floors, refinishing removes old stains, scratches, and finishes, and then applies a new coating, extending the life of your floors.
The duration of your refinishing project depends on the size of the area being refinished. Typically, hardwood floor refinishing takes 2-4 days, including sanding, staining, and applying protective coatings. For larger homes or multiple rooms, the process may take longer, but we ensure minimal disruption to your daily life and work efficiently to complete the job.
Yes, we can perform cabinet refinishing without removing them. We carefully sand and prep the cabinets on-site, removing old finishes and applying a fresh coat of paint or stain. This method is more convenient and cost-effective than full cabinet replacement, especially for kitchens in Walnut Creek, where many homeowners prefer affordable upgrades.
Refinishing your cabinets offers several advantages, including lower costs, minimal disruption, and the ability to customize the look of your existing cabinetry. Refinishing is a sustainable choice, allowing you to keep the original cabinets while updating their appearance.
Maintaining your refinished floors in Walnut Creek is easy with regular cleaning. We recommend sweeping or vacuuming frequently to remove dirt and debris, and using a gentle floor cleaner to wipe the floors clean. Avoid using harsh chemicals or wax-based cleaners, as they can damage the finish.
In Walnut Creek’s dry climate, polyurethane finishes are highly recommended for hardwood floors. They provide a durable, protective coating that can withstand foot traffic, temperature changes, and moisture. We also offer low-VOC finishes for a healthier indoor air quality, ideal for homes with children or pets.
